· “Parents have become so convinced educators know what is best for children that they forget that they themselves are really the experts.”
· “No one, Eleanor Roosevelt said, can make you feel inferior without your consent. Never give it.”
· “If we think we have ours and don't owe any time or money or effort to help those left behind, then we are a part of the problem rather than the solution to the fraying social fabric that threatens all Americans.”
· “If you don't like the way the world is, you change it. You have an obligation to change it. You just do it one step at a time.”
These are some of my favorite quotes by President William J. Clinton:
· "We must teach our children to resolve their conflicts with words, not weapons."
· The price of doing the same old thing is far higher than the price of change
· If you live long enough, you'll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you'll be a better person.
· When we give what we can and give it with joy, we don't just renew the American tradition of giving, we also renew ourselves
Below are the two persons from week 2 that I really related to. Beside their quotes, I put motivation, passion, or wisdom, to express how I felt.
Motivation- Every day I go to work, I look forward to it because I know the services I am providing them are to their benefit.
Passion- My passion comes from wanting to make a difference; I am not here to save the world, I am here to make a difference in the community I am working.
Both quotes by Raymond Hernandez MS Ed
Great quotes and I hope these quotes we are providing to each other, we take them and use them to continue to push forward within ourselves and our studies. We owe it to ourselves and these children to make an impact on ours and their lives.
